Clock spring, very common problem on Chrysler vehicles. It's nice to get your horn and cruise back, isn't it.
Yea search the Internet & you'd think every Chrysler ever built must be doomed to fail... but not limited to just to those as many brands have issues, you can get lower cost replacements for some just not a 01 Sebring which is a dealer only item.
I gotta do the Clockspring on my wife's Focus this weekend - symptom is signals won't auto-cancel. Tab on the spring is broken. I have a new multifunction switch too, just in case that's it.
Jeff
don't know about Fords but the turn signal is a separate issue on Chryslers but I was right there at the switches which would have required all this to come off just the same.
Hmmm...I need to do that to my truck. I guess I should pull the cover off and take a look.
If it's no worse than mine I say
get er done, if your sure that's your problem get the part 1st, my local dealer didn't have so I ordered from
www.mopar-wholesale.com for about 1/3 less.
Good going, nothing better that a job well done.
That's what the wife says anyway.
