can`t believe what I had to pay...
« on: November 13, 2008 - 09:53:49 AM »
....I just picked up 4 bolts to bolt my engine block to a stand so I can rotate it.  Since we use metric overhere you cannot buy these bolts on every streetcorner, but a local bolt supplier had them stocked so I bought them ...  80 mm long, 4 pcs.....$35,-  :swear:  feels like getting ripped off and watching it happen  :banghead: :stomp: :stomp:

I take it that shipping would be outrageous if you were to have one of us buy them and mail them to you?

Metrics here are 3 to 4 times as much as an equivalent SAE bolt or nut, with about a tenth of the selection. Sounds like you may need to find a little better supplier, but we feel the same pain just opposite over here.
