another update, haven't been able to work on the car as much, have had to take care of some other issues for that past two weeks or so.  I have just started getting the front clip together, and tomorrow will be starting to build the fender aprons and the engine compartment stuff.  I have the majority of the rear valance made, i decided to just make one from scratch, I am just waiting for a new bumper to make sure it all fits right to finish all that up.  I changed the trunk hinges, so they now work on two 120 pound gas shocks instead of the tension rods.  I'm going to be using ring brothers billet hood hinges, and hopefully soon be able to start on carving some foam for the new grill!

thanks!  im not the happiest with how the hinge brackets ended up looking, but they work, and you wont see them once upholstery is done, so im not too worried about that.

there will be no back seat, im not sure what we are putting back there yet, tracey weaver, who is doing the interior, has some really good ideas, so i'm just letting him run with it.  the wheels/tires in the back will be 20's, im not totally sure yet what width rim, probably 12 or 13" wide,,,but tires im thinking 315/35/20 or 325/35/20.  there will be 19's up front.  I was using a 295/45/20 as a guide or mock up tire to double check everything, and that looks lost under there   lol, so there is plenty of room.

thanks,,,the shop isn't too nice.  this isn't a personal car, this is for work...the guy I work for owns the car, and it's being built for him.  we are actually just about ready to move to a new shop that was just built that's well, quite a bit bigger!  11,500 sq. ft total...but ill "only" be in half of it.

a couple updated pictures...i have the grill just set in there as a reference, and am working on making the sides of the engine compartment/fender aprons.  I am in need of a front valance that's in good shape, preferably one without any light openings in it.  And is there supposed to be a narrow metal piece that ties the two fenders together just below the grill?  I've seen some pictures with that, but i'm not sure if it is for every year.  any help?
