440 parts for sale or trade
« on: November 15, 2008 - 12:38:48 PM »
I've got a bunch of new or freshly machined 440 stuff.

I've decided to go with a small block instead of the 440.

What I've got:
  • 440 block 30-over (71 casting date). One sleeve.
  • KB237 Pistons, CAT H-beam rods, Forged crank, bearings and rings. All balanced and ready to rock.
  • 346 Heads. Fresh from the machine shop with harden seats. Bowl blended and port matched. Fully assembled  with Manley valves, Hughes 1105 springs and Comp Cams retainers.
  • ARP Head Studs (new)
  • Edelbrock RPM intake (new)
  • Hooker Competition coated headers (new)
  • Melling HV oil pump (new)
  • Edelbrock True-Roller timing chain (new)
  • 5 qt oil pan
  • Timing cover
  • Ductile iron adjustable rockers, minus one arm
  • and some other assorted stuff
Essentially, I have almost everything needed to bolt together a 440 minus a cam kit and gaskets.

$3850 takes the whole package it. Will not ship.

I'll sell the heads ($650) or rotating assembly ($1100) separately.

FREE delivery to the Indy swap meet with advance payment.

I'll consider trades of small block stuff. I'm looking for a very stout street/strip small block package. Must be forged crank, pistons and aluminum heads. Either stroked or not. Complete low/no mileage running motor, or unassembled.

Email me at  magnum471-moparts@yahoo.com or PM.

Not at this time. If someone buys the heads or rotating assembly, I'll open up to offers on the other stuff.

How much are you asking for the headers?? I have Hookers on my 440, but they are oxidized and don't look good. I looked into having them powder coated. It cost around $200.00 bucks. Just not worth it for a used set!!

If anyone has SERIOUS offers, email or PM. I'm not going to respond to offers in the open forum.

Thanks.

If the heads and rotating assembly sell, I will part it out from there.

I agree with Stroker as I would be interested in the intake, headers, timing chain, oil pump, timing cover & pan!!

I'll consider shipping the heads.

Note that the price of the heads and the package price has changed. I have purchased retainers, seals and assembled the heads since originally posting this ad.

Once the heads and rotating assembly sell, it will be open season on the rest of the stuff. Until then, I'm hedging my bets as I might end up using the motor.

Email me for more information.
