An Old Priest and a New Priest...
« on: November 15, 2008 - 09:29:06 PM »
Took these last weekend...

I love that last one - the lot is angled sideways, so in order to make the cars look level, the neighboring building looks like it's sinking into Oblivion...  :)

Nice Pics.  Ebony and Ivory go together.  They are both beautiful cars for different reasons.   :ylsuper:

Can't park between the lines?    :poopoke:

  Mike   :smilielol:

Mike,

Just outside of the shot, to the right of the Viper, is an 80's or so Cadillac.  It's owned by my 85 year old neighbor, and has been in more accidents than imagineable.  The guy is mess - he can't walk, drives around in scooters and has banged up every wall in our lobby.  His apartment is practically destroyed on the inside.  Of course, our landlords made his spot a handicapped spot (I used to keep the 'Cuda in the far-right spot as it was closest to my unit) and built a ramp over there.  I still wanted to keep the 'Cuda in sight so I commandered the other end.  So whenever I park a car in the middle - as we often try to do to keep the 'Cuda safe - I park CLOSE to the 'Cuda to keep him from opening a door or driving a scooter into the middle car.  There isn't a panel on his car that isn't dented - he backed it into a city bus this past summer!!

Luckily, his son recently took away his car keys and even took the license plate off the car so he couldn't drive anymore.  Couple that with the renters insurance coverage I recently added to my policy (we're just WAITING for him to burn the building down) and I finally have some peace of mind.

So to answer your question, yes I can park between the lines - but it's far safer NOT to.  :)

Yeah sorry for going on about it but that guy has been a thorn in my side since he moved in...

Get this - his WIFE of over 50 YEARS left him just this past summer - said he was unbearable to live with any more.  FIFTY YEARS!!  I figured she knew her days were numbered and decided she wanted to enjoy them!
