Young Guns...let's see your cars
« on: November 15, 2008 - 11:53:13 PM »
I know there are a few young guns on here. So introduce yourself, share pictures of your cars and some info about the car and how you got it.

I'm Cody, 16, from British Columbia, Canada

1969 Charger R/T tribute, 383 Magnum, pro-tourer in progress. It's gonna be silver, black R/T stripe. My dad bought it back in '98 for $400 and gave it to me for Christmas. I was 6.

1973 Duster, 318, daily driver/road racer project. It's gonna be gloss black, flat black hood (and tops of fenders), black Nascar Bassett wheels. Bought it last weekend for $800.

Chris and my 71 Challenger
I'm 16 and my dad bought it for me last year as an early graduation present. It's going to be an R/T clone, but I hope to one day make it into an R/T SE phantom car

Alright, guess I'll play.

I'm 21,  bought this Barracuda when I was 17. Haven't gotten around to any body work, so it's still how I bought it (more or less). Have about 15,000 miles on the redone drivetrain...which will probably be yanked out at earliest financial convenience. Probably won't get much work done to it for a few years, until I can have my own garage to work in. It'll get some structural work (frame ties, suspension/k-member upgrades), complete rewiring, hopefully some body work in there, also a whole new driveline ( 8 3/4 may stay a little longer).

This little guy has been severely beaten in its 15,000 miles of street use. Only about 75 passes down the track, but lots of hard running, long highway runs with 3.91s, burnouts, tossed the water pump belt going down the track brought it to...well +250*F  :eek4: Still runnin hard  :working:

Since some are posting daily drivers, my Barracuda isn't my d/d anymore. Had to upgrade to a little more "Florida Weather" friendly vehicle. Bring on the standing water and downpours.  :grinyes:

I'm Steve, I'll be 22 in two weeks on Black Friday.  So too bad, I'm playing in this thread.   :drama:

 :roflsmiley:

'71 Challenger 383 pretty much all original  Bought it from a guy that had it in a shed for two years, he bought it from Arkansas.  I saw it and bought it the next day.

'67 Dodge D200 Hemi project  (A while after I bought it, and about what it looks like now)  My dad saw it in a ditch for sale.  He shouldnt have told me.     Bought it cheap, and he delivered it.  Turning it into a Hemi/5 speed truck, should hopefully be done next spring.

'07 Dodge Magnum  Well, it is a Mopar.  Bought it from the dealer in October.  I went in one day, told them exactly what I wanted, and a week later they got it in for me.  20,000 miles, 3.5 v6.  Had a little bit of fun with it the other day.     :roflsmiley:
