eh, I'm not so keen on the working hard part. I like to dream, maybe that's why I still don't have anything yet?
But seriously, I am workin pretty hard, just money's kinda tight for me. Also, I'm probably not looking hard enough or in all the wrong places.

I paid for both of my Chargers, working at minimum wage as a snowboard instructor doesn't pay too well either, but the tips were great.

yea you got tips, I don't. my hourly wage isn't bad, it's just I don't work many hours. I'm asking my manager if he can let me work more hours on weekends. in a few given months, I'll hopefully have enough to buy something restorable

wow. I feel like a loser. I'm 17, and I have nothing. I do plan on getting an '00 Ram 1500 SLT, and then hopefully a 71 or 73 challenger.

Hey Young_Gun, you're not a loser, you're hanging with us aren't you? If you really want it you'll get your car eventually, and usually it will come your way when you least expect it! In the meantime you're in the right place to learn and keep your dream alive. :2thumbs:

I'm 16 and this is the cuda, 440, AT. dad had bought it for $750 in the 80's and we have chipped away slowly for my lifetime. now that money is tight for the family, funding the project has fallen on my shoulders. :money:.  and heres the jeep

thanks!   :2thumbs: I'm lookin on  :ebay: right now for a '94-01 Ram 1500 Ext. cab, and partly why I'm looking for parts for a 360, is if I blow the stock, or I want to do something different, I have parts on-hand. but for old mopars - '73 Duster 340, '66-'69 Road Runner/Sport Satellite, '71-'73 Challenger, or 70-72 Cuda 340 or 440. I like to keep my options open. gotta keep checkin up on  :ebay: and craigslist.

My dad bought me both of my cars.

Now it's up to me to get them restored and running. :)

I'm all for that. That's what I hope my parents might do for me for graduation. My dad wants me to have a dependable ride first before I get something I would like to restore

If its something you really want and something worth having, you'll work your butt off to get it. sure it would be nice if mommy and daddy had the money to go buy you a '71 cuda, but i sire know mine didn't, that why i had to pay for the car myself, and thats why i still haven't been able to drive it. I thanks my parents dearly for the help they've given, loans and what not, but i wanted an ebody sooo bad that i worked my tail off for it. started workin when i was 11 and didn't get my challenger till i was almost 17...sure i had the two chargers before that(cars i paid for) and not to sound ungratefull but i had a goal in sight, and neither of them cut it so i sold them.....if its somethin you really want and have a passion for, you'll find a way  :2cents:

May be worth looking into a busy restaurant near you. I made about $20-$23 an hour on the weekends when I was 17. Of course the economy isn't so hoppin, but it's usually better than a counter job still

Your dad is wright you need a car to get to work in so you can work on your toy.

Good luck with the hunt its half the fun of finding your dream car or starter car.

My son is hooked on the $59.00 video games he will never save up any money with that habbit some day he will understand  :2cents:
