You can bring a small grill. But we do not make any extra space for that. Please don't smoke out your neighbors though. Please consider the others around you. There are even grilles out in the show field and about a 1/2 dozen or so in the picnic table area.

All cars and swap meeter must remain parked between 10am and 1pm. So you cannot come into the park and pick up parts. BUT the show is very compact for the amount a swappers in it. So you can just walk over your parts to the parking lot and cell phone someone with your truck to pick them up.

YOU CAN NOT just park your truck unattended and walk in and pick up parts. Illegally unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed by the Parks Dept.

Better solution, bring a wagon or a two wheeled dolly.

If you are showing a car there is a better solution.... Just walk you parts over to your Challenger. Then when the traffic all dies down after 1pm load them in your truck. No hassle.

no im not talking about a huge truck a little toyota pick up truck ... i saw someone trying to get rid of a Challenger door for 50 bucks at fall fling and i didnt have any space to take it thats why i said that .. but you i think the grill is a bad idea i dont want to put anyone out id rather use the space for a poster im working on regarding the process of the restoration...

Sorry, we can't have any vehicles of any kind for pick up or delivery until after 1pm. Park rules for the safety of the pedestrians walking around the show. Just get two people to walk it behind your car or walk it to the parking lot.

I don't think the grill is a bad idea. People bring them. Like I said the park even has grills built into it. Just be away of your neighbors you park next to, that's all.

No big deal. I'm sort of covering other related common questions at the same time as yours.

We do get requests at the front gate to drive in a do a pickup before 1pm. And we do get people double parking out there. The LAFD has been really strict on us. I just want to clarify ahead of time for others reading this. So I'm trying to pass.

I don't think there's anything wrong with bringing a grill. Just got to fit it in the back of a Challenger though. It's park, a relaxed atomosphere, have a good time.

My 71 Challenger R/T is not done.

PLENTY of project cars sold at Spring Fling. Last year the score I heard about was a 70 340 FY1 Duster 4spd in primer, running for under $4K. It got flipped a few times and got a quickie paint, tossed together interior and was on the net for sale for $18K-ish.

I know of someone bringing a 68 Barracuda fastback 340 4spd, a/c car down for sale.

Lets put it this way, I don't think Ted Stephens from Alabama (world's biggest mopar salvage yard) has missed a Spring Fling in 15 years or so. He doesn't come out to look at palm trees.  He buys swap spot just to put an empty trailer on to put the stuff he buys. 

There's got to be 20-30 cars at least that come into the swap trailered in. I can't keep count, but talk is cheap. Here's a picture, count the cars on trailers and cars that look rough in this swap field picture.

There's also plenty of cars for sale in the show field also. That's were my buddies 70 T/A 4spd 50K mile car came from 4 years ago. Sold for $10K minutes before he got to it, then he bought it from that guy 4-5 months later for $20K with a new clutch.
