cuda quarter panel marker lights
« on: May 04, 2004 - 09:26:15 PM »
I just bought a 73 barracuda a few days ago.  It has a 318, 3 spd manual, and a console, thats gotta be rare.  The 2 maker light lenses on the quarter panels are both cracked.  I was wondering if they are barracuda specific or did other mopars of the era use the same marker light becuae I know of a junkyard by my uncle's house that has a bunch of 70s A bodies.  Any help would be appreciated.

Any '73 is rare

The A-body markers work from '72 up
also B-body to '74 and F-body

And a whole lotta vans ect

Or buy them new at your Mopar performance store

I would do what 360Cuda suggested and go to your local dealership and pick up brand new set.  $34.50 or so gets you both of them in excellent shape and they're still an OEM unit..Just a thought though. ;)

I guess what I'll do is see what kinda shape the junkyard markers are in and then decide what to do.  I'll try to get my friend over here with his digital camera and get some pics of the barracuda frontend so I can post them.

Hey Guys,  You actually have a lot of leeway on '72 to '74 side markers.  I recently sold an '86 Ram pickup which has identically the same side markers.  I believe they were used thru about '93 on Dodge trucks.   The new ones should be very easy to come by, & will doubtless be in much better condition than any old ones you will find.  Hope that helps.  Ovmf
