I remember reading a few years ago that there was a Ford sender float in brass that was compatible with the Mopar units.  I doubt I can find the magazine that was in, sorry.

A friend of mine gave me a float from a 1991 Ford Ranger. It fit perfectly.   :2thumbs:

Well guys, Im happy to now report that my new NOS sending unit is working perfectly   :2thumbs:

In my book thats $99 plus post to the uk well spent..................thanks goes to BRADS NOS PARTS   :clapping:

I really cant see why anybody would buy a copy part which is half the price, but is totally inaccurate and unreliable !!!

Here in the uk you are never that far from a gas station, and i hate the feeling you get of being unsure how much gas you have left in the tank.

Now over in the states you could be 50 miles or more from the nearest gas station, and if you run out you are really in the crap !

So take my advice......where fuel tank sending units are concerned.......BUY A NOS PART AND WORRY NO MORE.

                                                                         Cudaneil.

Thats what jerry cans are for, at least while you can get them.  Here in the states the stinking EPA has mandated california 'carb' rules nationwide that bans manufacture of them in current form.

Wonder if someone makes a rear jerry can mount for the Challenger... may need them in a few years.

:wow:   thats unbelievable.......200 miles,  a few cars cant get that far on a tankfull, you would think some big gas station chain would jump at the opportunity

to fill that gap !!!      Never mind chryco, at least in Canada it doesnt rain all the time like it does in the uk,  we dont get a suntan.......we get rusty.    :grinno:

2983 072 0503  :dunno:

The PN on the box was for a 5/16" unit, but this is stamped on the unit....  :chatting:
