I have 70 Challenger 44o Sixpack stock full length exhaust pipes with stock muffler  no resonators,,,,,,, just wonder what the resonators are for?  Should I run them also?  Seems like think resonators might just create unnessasary back pressure  :clueless:........

Present company excluded I'm sure, but most folks don't know their muffler from their resonator.  E-bodys mufflers (except T/A & AAR) are behind the axle & are the 7" round garbage cans, the resonators are forward & are shaped like oval mufflers.  Sound I don't know what leaving them off does but I have my mufflers off w/ just resonators & the exhaust is mellow but loud, not like running straight pipes.
