Original Paint Choices
« on: November 23, 2008 - 09:07:15 AM »
Somethings been bothering me for some time now, and that is --- were all the 27 or so paint chip choices available on any car, be that Challenger, Cuda, etc., or were they limited to a specific model?  For some reason, I thought you could get your Challenger in any of the 27.

I'm old enough that I should remember, but don't.

not all colors were available on all models, I doubt you will ever find a Plum Crazy Imperial , but if you paid extra  you could get anything including coclors that were not available for that year & were coded 999 special paint order
too bad they do`nt still do that , try to order an New SRT8 Chall in Plum , you can get the 4 dr Charger but not the Chall   :banghead: :pullinghair:

There was some differentiation between Dodge and Plymouth models.  For example, the ER6 color code (Scorch Red) was offered on Plymouth Cudas, but not on Challengers.  There may be other colors that are the same way, but that is the one I know about, because I orginally wanted to paint my Challenger that color!

But, as CP said, you could special order a lot of different options back then!
