Very nice!  What kind of seats were those?  Where can you get them from?

Seats are from Checker. 119.00 per. Not bad,But the dang cable busted on one.Ya it was the passenger side too. :banghead:   They match the grain well. Can't beat the price.

Wanted to update this thread...  Need some pics... :picture:

She got a new distributer, plugs. Now it's a whole new car!  The springs weren't returning properly,Causing a dieseling effect.  Now I can really lay into the 225. :roflsmiley:   Most of the time I leave people at lights. But they are dumb. It's not fast,But runs alot better!!  Get alot of looks. Everybody drives new cars here. I stick out like a sore thumb.   Couldn't afford a new back seat cover. My buddy with the Demon scored me a black cover to toss over the old seat from napa! Now I got the back seat in.    Everyone asks..."when are you gonna' paint it?"   Guess i should get ready.     I drive this car everyday. It made it's first car cruise Friday nite!!!!!!

I have confirmed paint for the Duster!!  It goes purple next Friday or so. I've been getting ready to jamb it.Lot's of time.Stripped the interior mostly. The drip edge trim,bumpers,handles,locs,ect...   Had to cut the antenna off.  Sanded for 12 hrs. straight the other day. It coming out great! Had it over to the painters and they were impressed.  I'm trading wheels/tires for a paint job.  I should be ready. Getting excited now!!  The Duster is gonna' be sweeeet!  I scored a 1975 360 4    out of the yard for 150 dollars. CP has me considering a 440 though.   Lot's going on around here!!! :working:

Looking Good :2thumbs:  I've actually been thinking about switching the Beater from Yellow to Plum Crazy.  I painted it back in January after banging out the bodywork in a couple of days and now the spots that I did not get are bothering me. Plus, I just shot the outside of the car and haven't cut in the jambs, trunk, or engine compartment yet.  I could not stand driving it the way it looked so I HAD to get it in color right away - I guess patience is not one of my gifts...

A few questions........

Single stage or base/clear?

What kind of gun?

Pressure/volume?

I'm going to tackle my trunk/jams/under hood soon...looking for tips since this will be my first time with HVLP and I haven't had a gun in hand for many years.

Thanks

oops..  sorry...  been busy!  I sprayed single stage.I had it from the windshield install. So I used the rest to jamb it. Almost enough. :banghead: I would base/clear it otherwise.Probably clear it.  I have a deVilbiss gun for paint/clear. And two cheap primer guns. Shooting primer at around 30-40  and paint clear 50-60   I like it.You get alot better with practice.  Still no word on this paint deal,I am anxious latley!   All ready to go now here. quarter glass, drip edge trim,handles,locks,bumpers,ect.. all off.  Time to spray!!  Mayby this weekend?  :dunno:   They must be busy.    Have fun! Paint fell through. :walkaway:  Couldn't afford it.   Taxes crushed me.  I'm on my own again. Here she is...   Purple soon.   Driving it again. Getting really good at stripping them down,Putting them together. But I love to drive them around!  Put all the glass, interior bac in. Blac grille. I love the paint scheme!!  Gonna' be a cool driver. I estimate this total project costing around 3 grand with A/C!!!!!       We just went to see a parts car too... 74 duster. Great glass and tailights. ::)

Oh, and one other thing...   I forgot...  Scored a '75 360 4 brl. out of a Charger for 100 bucs.  Planning the 408.   I call it "Grape crush"   :ylsuper:

Wow. I want to see that engine build!

Once I get my car, I may think about getting another vintage car for a daily driver. /6 cars are on my radar.

Thanx all!!  Ya,I like the simple look. Nothin' special. Intake,headers,500 Holley. New timing chain set and gaskets.  The nuts and bolts of the reassembly went just fine. I thought I had the electrical figured out...but then I found these two wires up under the dash that come out right on top of the master cylinder. Both together molded in a plug. One wire has a quick connect and I think I know where that goes. But where does the other one go? It's hard to tell color exactly. Blue or green. Dang I hate electrical!!!!    Lots to do before I can even think of starting her, but it's getting closer... :stirpot:  R/T
