NEED PHOTO of Wire Harness sheilds inside L. rocker
« on: November 23, 2008 - 10:42:35 PM »
Hey guys - hoping someone can help me again here. One of the photo's I didn't take was of the wire harness sheilds inside the drivers rocker, For some reason I can't even see where the spot we;da re that I cut! These are under the carpet of course, back and front of driver seat and are welded with tabs to the rocker. Thanks again!

If your car is not an exact #'s resto then simply use short sheet metal screws at the base of that plate. Then use some urethane to hold it from sliding fore and aft. Like you said, carpet hides it all.

I would avoid screws, the rear brake line runs right under that area.  ;)

Here is a photo that shows the gap at the center (1970 Challenger) the gap is 5/8" wide. The "feet" butt to the inside of the rocker panel wall.

The feet are a bit hard to see in that photo, so I outlined them in red;

You guys are awesome - as usual. My mistake was thinking the feet were welded to the top and the plates went downwards....but it looks like the feet are bent under the plates and welded to the floor almost. Is that right?
