Been lurking a while....
« on: November 26, 2008 - 10:16:34 AM »
Just want to say hello..... I have been visiting here for a while. I am in the process of trying to buy a 71 barracuda. I am looking to buy a roller, so it may take me a while. I do have an 09 Challenger SE and a 69' Baldwin Motion Vette and a couple of Harleys.
I appreciate a nice car no matter what the nameplate says. My parents owned a new 68 Charger and a new 71 cuda back in the day, and I have owned a 68' Charger as well, so the next step is the 71 cuda. My father passed away last year, so I will be building this car in his memory.

Welcome to CC.com!! Sounds like your family has quite a history with Mopars. Hope you score a nice '71. I think that's so cool you're doing it in memory to your dad. So what is a Baldwin Motion Corvette?? I'm not up on Corvette's. Also got any pics of your rides? We love pictures here!! Stick around and make yourself comfy!! :2thumbs:

Very nice cars!
I had a chance to buy a "Motion" Corvette just like that in 1987 for the princely sum of $4000.  I was an idiot, and passed because it had plexiglass covers over fixed headlights and I wanted the pop up headlights.  I had no idea what it really was, but I knew it was unbelievably fast.  I wish I had it now along with the 69 Charger 500 I passed on because I wanted an R/T. Did I mention that I was an idiot??

Welcome aboard!!
