Anyone know where to buy round smoked headlight covers?
« on: November 27, 2008 - 10:27:31 PM »
I'm looking for smoked covers to fit 4 1/2 inch round quad headlights like on a Challenger. All I can find is covers for import crap.

You talking about the new Challenger or the old Challenger. I don't know about the new one, but the headlights in the old Challenger are 5 3/4", not 4 1/2".

OOPS! Altzheimers strikes again!

Need them for the old Challenger.

I see them in a decal style overlay.

I've seen these, but I want something that can be taken off and put on as needed. One statement in their description confuses me...
"All kits are removable but you can only apply them once after the adhesive has set."
So what exactly does that mean? Are they removeable, or not? Or does that just mean that they are permanant, but can be taken off if you dont want them any longer?

Not sure, never used them.

I have never seen any on these type headlights though, maybe you could have 2 sets of bulbs?  One with the decals and one without.  Will take a few minutes to swap them though, like for an inspection.

How about using some window tint material? Should be cheap enough.

I wanted to be able to have them on during the day, like at a cruise-in, but then be able to pop them off if it got late and I had to use the lights. In PA, having them on at night is a big NO-NO.
