Don't know if this has been discussed here..
« on: December 01, 2008 - 05:11:36 PM »
Did anyone see the "last" 1970 Dodge Challenger in MuscleCar Review? It was in the July 2008 issue and according to the person whom did an article on it, it is way too far gone to restore, or something like that.. The car has original paint, original tires and alot of other stuff, so it is pretty much an unmolested car.. Looking at the pictures in the magazine, the people who checked it out must be on crack! I see that there is no trunk foor but jeezum, do they complain about everything or what? It is the last 1970 Dodge Challenger built! The guy was comparing outside surface rust to the Titanic's rust!! Anybody have any good pics of it to put up? The ones in the magazine are pretty vague..

Are you talking about the White RT with Green Int and an Argent Shaker Geocery Rack and 440+6???  If so yes I have seen it.  I agree the car was restoreable.  I think the negative conotations come from the price the guy wanted for the car (no I dont know how much it was).  Would be one sweet ride restored.

The car intrigued me as well.  I was surprised I didnt see any postings on it here or other sites.  I think that car is one of the nicest optioned Challengers I have ever seen.  I love the color combo and the Mag 500 rims.  It would be a sweet ride if someone can get ahold of that car and restore it.  Post some pics of you can find some, right now I cant find any.

I will if I can, it seems that not too many Challengers or Barracudas have/had the Magnum 500's. I wonder where the last '70 Cuda is..

Did they mention the VIN of the "last" one? If so, what is it?

Or how they knew it was the last one?

Barry, left my copy of the mag in Iraq.  I cant rem if it had a vin listed or not.  I know that they stated that Galen certified that it was the last 70 R/T known to exist.

Good to know, thanks Don!

The last one made vs. the last one known to exist is open to interpretation for sure.

I got you, I know how that goes, word play that is. I wish I kept that Mag.  It was one of the better peices I have seen on a piticular car in a while.  It surprised me because it wasnt a Mopar Mag AND the car wasnt restored...  great article though.
