There was a fox body notchback at Cecil I used to see when we ran there. Had the biggest blower you've ever seen stickin out the hood. He just blew the tires off the thing every time I saw him try to run it. It's not that easy to get one down the track with the instant response of a big blower. You have to have your drivetrain set up right.
Failing that you're probably better off walking it out of the gate easy and then giving it power after it's under way.

Congratulations Kelly!  That's a mean car.  Too bad I haven't seen it on the road yet.

Thanks for the compliments every one. I did have a little trouble (lot of trouble) at pinks this spring, I managed to melt the rings out of 3 cylinders. A good buddy of mine tore the motor out and managed to pluck the melted rings out, rehone the block, buff the scratches off the pistons and get me back to the track for the Drayton Valley drags. I have a little blow by going on now but it seems to come and go.  I have had a best of 10.70 on pump fuel and street slicks at Edmonton Alberta so I am really pleased with that.  I would love to be able to race at seal level and get into the 9's.

The guys that run in my club in ProMod with the blower cars always carry an extra set of pistons and some spare cylinder sleeves. That's routine maintenance for them  I've seen some of those cars go two seasons before they get a full pass under power without hurting anything, so don't feel bad. You'll get it figured out. On on board data logger with O2 sensors helps alot. We have one in each cylinder on the race car.
