This reminds me of the stories of the military guys that bought a muscle car before they shipped out to Nam.
Then while they're gone it's kept in a barn.

 :useless:

....every guy that bought 427/435 Vette was killed in VN.....they were cursed ....don't know how many times I heard that thru the years...or the old lady selling her sons 53 Chevy for $50.....it was really a Vette....gotta admit, this is a new twist to the story though :roflsmiley:

I've heard all of those types of stories too, but personally hearing three such stories out of dead soldier's parent's mouths myself, I know at least some of them are true. I've tried to pick up a fuelie 57 chevy, a challenger, and a 69 camaro with these stories.

I'd be waiting for the picture proof. I would find a way to get some more money to the seller down the road as well.

And also wants to change it from "survivor" status...

Come one, I am a die hard resto mod kinda guy, but if Ii found a car like that, I would not change a thing on it and if it were restored it woudl go back to origional...I call BS!!!!

Seems a little fishy to me. If you wanted to buy a car, wouldnt the first thing you do is ask how much they wanted for it? According to the story, she doesnt ask how much until the car is all checked out and they are at the DMV ready to sign the title over.

More proof that to some people an old muscle car is just an old car.

True. The Challenger in my avatar was picked up from an ad in the paper that simply said 74 Dodge, needs work, $2000 and I negotiated to under a grand.
