Hi Everybody,
I'm new to the forum but not new to Mopars or my Challenger. I have a '70 340 Challenger 4 spd. that I think is really unique. Unfortunately I never found the broadcast sheet so I don't know if it is optioned as original or some previous owner. Some options obviously are definitely added by a previous owner. Anyway, as she sits right now and as long as I have had her she is sporting a '73 340 motor with 360 heads
. Someone added a very complete sixpack setup
. Still has the numbers matching 4 spd. and a definite add on Dana 60 4.10 rear
. Manual steering, manual front disk brakes, no A/C. I mean this car is bare. One belt under the hood driving the alternator and that is it. Just the way I like it.
Here's how the VIN tag reads: JH23H0B236xxx, E55, A66, D21, N41, N42, J54, M21, V1X, V98, C55, R22, Y05 and she was repainted but still the original B5 Blue. Black int. and no console. Of course Pistol Grip. Rallye dash. Unfortunately the 8 track is gone and they did not put the deck lid stripe back on when they repainted it. She's wearing the front and rear sway bars. Has the variable speed wiper motor and I cannot find any info to prove or disprove, but it looks like she has only 42,498 miles. Again, I'm not saying she does or doesn't. I can't find any data to say one way or another. Some previous owner obviously wanted an R/T because she has R/T emblems now. I have owned her for 19 years and I have done really nothing to her except drive her once in a blue moon. I have put maybe a thousand miles on her. I know, what is wrong with me? Well, no time = no drive and no money = do nothing. That however, is about to change. I just $hit canned the front burners so I'm only left with the back one
. So I will be talking to you Gents and looking for the few things that I need and a few that I want
.
