I'd sell my left nut...
« on: December 08, 2008 - 03:47:52 PM »
For one of these:...

I'm sorry, but "2 Fast 2 Furious" brought this car into my life, and as crappy as that movie was, I still loved that car...

Whew...  There are few cars that can actually outperform a Nissan Skyline R34.

why not get the new one it has a computer / black box that records everything u do with the car , that way they can deny warranty, & send you speeding tickets even when there are no cops around
I`ll take old technology thanks anyway . At least your Viper doesn`t have 12 computers overriding your discisions & tracking everything you do in it

:iagree:

I've got a bunch of people at work who have Nissan 300zx (90's models) and G35's and they think they are all that.....but when something goes wrong with it and they have to take it to the "shop" to have a "code" diagnosed, it makes me laugh.  Sure my mopar is old and heavy, but atleast I can tell when it's running rich or skipping a cylinder without having to hook-up a computer to it.  Plus, I can sit in my engine bay while I work on it....try that in a newer car!  :ylsuper:

Plus on the new one if you use the launch control feature it voids the warranty because it usually results in transmission failure and Nissan wants you to fork out the $20k to fix it. Or how about the fact that it has to go in for service every 1500 miles and in that service the transmission gears are reground because they are stright cut and the service is about $10K (haven't confirmed this on the service yet, but heard it from a reputable source).

personally i love gtr skylines, or "godzilla's" as they are known. i've always thought of them as a japanese muscle car -they are a two door hardtop with a badass motor.
at the time of each models release they were among the absolute cutting edge of automotive technology.

and who can argue with a motor that (in the case of the 'rb' engines) can reliably make way over 1000 horse power?
in a car that can handle and brake with the very best sportscars, and still have a big boot (trunk) and back seats...

and as for the new model, it's heavy, can fit 4 adults + luggage, has all the mod-cons, and is totally usable every day on the street...
yet beats hot ferrari's and lambo's around a track.

that's what the technology gives you.

I don't think you would get enough money by selling a half pair, you would probably have to sell both (and then you still probably wouldn't get enough  :money:

someday i'd love an R33 Gt-R...    there are heaps of skylines in NZ.
as an everyday car they'd be hard to beat.

except by an audi RS4 avant though...

I love the Skyline on Gran Turismo for Playstation but I had my fastest lap times with my Viper-probably cuz I had more time driving it.If it came to a chioce of a real one there would no contest-V10 rear drive Viper over any import no matter how fast or great handling it is.
