for me the choice between a gt-r skyline and a viper would be tough...
i love the practicality and sledgehammer performance of a tuned skyline, and love the looks of the gts viper (or did until i saw one up close...  man those things are put together like sh!t!)

hmmmmmm...

Every great now and again, I see one around here, usually one that a sailor has managed to import after buying it in Japan while stationed there.  I think they're really cool.  Muscle is muscle, no matter the language of the people building it.  The pavement doesn't know the difference. :2cents:

Not a fan of the Skyline.  Good car, great performance, but all the rabid teenage fanboys I keep running into ruined it for me.

I mean, I can only hear "The Skyline is God's gift to cars!" so many times before I want to start bashing heads in with a tire iron...

I got my fill of them when I was over in Japan. Now a Supra I could never get tired of. I would love to find a 1986 Celica Supra and turn it into a rallye car.

I was surprised to find out that the Skyline was built to be a four door car ( the majority of them are 4 doors) for the Emporer of Japan's son.

An Aston Martin.

Seriously, I'd take an Aston Martin DB9 or DBS above any of the cars listed in this thread.   :dunno:

:iagree: It's funny you mention that, because I am seriously looking at used DB9's. A new DB9 MSRP is 195k, but you can get one that it 2 or 3 years old with less than 10k on the odometer for less than 100k. The DBS is basically a DB9 with a body kit, interior upgrade (although you lose the back seat) , 50 hp and carbon brakes. The guys on Top Gear say that with the DBS you pay an additional 70k to look like James Bond. They are an exquisite automobile in a class all there own.

Plus on the new one if you use the launch control feature it voids the warranty because it usually results in transmission failure and Nissan wants you to fork out the $20k to fix it. Or how about the fact that it has to go in for service every 1500 miles and in that service the transmission gears are reground because they are stright cut and the service is about $10K (haven't confirmed this on the service yet, but heard it from a reputable source).

wouldn't have the overpriced p.o.s. no ofense but if you'd give up your left jewel for that why did you buy a viper??

If he had to to qualify for the loan, he'd have given the whole package for a Viper!  :roflsmiley:

I live such a secluded life. I really hardly ever look at anything but a mopar! Not sure if it is just stupid or brand loyalty, but I would not own anything else.   :wavingflag:
