Here is a pic of my rear panel on my 70 383 4bbl 4speed car. Used spray cans (Krylon paint) & a final spray gun of clear dupont lacquer paint with extra fine glitter for texture(1.7 tip). Does the colour look close? I love it. It does not flake off either. I could post what I used & did if good enough to post. I hate saying I used glitter, but ther is no way to get that texture & sparkle that I got when I wanted to do it. I would love to hear opinions.

I had a argent mixed that was about as close to the 70 wheel paint and grill paint as I could get and sprayed it on. It matches the grill almost exactly and I sprayed it over the black textured, ( I assume organisol ) that the previous owner sprayed on the tail panel so it has a undertexture to the touch. Looks like the origional. Yours kinda looks like the 71 dark argent. Does not look bad. I do not think the origional was very sparkly just reflected the sunlight well. I have access to a 2 and 1 quart spray pot that works wonderfully.

yeah, is is hard to tell in low light.  but i think it should be pretty close in hue to rallye wheel argent.

We are 27 lucky guys , you don,t see too many Gran Coupes anymore, That is for sure.

yours is a GC too, isn't it?  are you going to keep any badging on it, or are you going fulll 'cuda clone?  when your is doine, i would like to park ours side by side, to see what the difference is between EB3 and GB2.

Ya my car is coming, but clearcoat did not turn out well. So I need to reclear car. I am going with blue interior. 4speed rebuilt, engine trans are back in car. TTI stuff is installed. New pass quarter, rear drivers quarter, new valances, new trunk, new suspenion, new vinyl top. Painted everything where it is in pic. interior almost done. I am putting everything back to original except exhaust & aar hood. I have other hood for it, but I just love those aar hoods. Hard to believe it only been a little over a year I picked up in Olympia. Car is originally from Oregon.
