Correct. Sory for not seeing this question earlier.

Reason is they had the twin scoop hood already, and no flat hood ready & available. In todays economy I'm sure they wanted to only do what was really really needed (various embelms/crests, overhead console, leather pattern seats, etc) and offer the Gran Coupe to collectors. Top pink car is NOT a GC though - just ends up in the link (sorry).

Your seats look just like regular Black Gran Coupe trim i really am not sure what would make up the difference in the A8 Black Frost interior from a regular X9 Black interior anyone else know the difference by any chance ?

I really don't know the difference. I order new upholster at Legendary in black frost.

The Gran Coupe P6 coupe interiors were sewn in a different pattern that the regular H6 seats. You also got the bright metal inserts with the "P" interiors as well as the overhead consolette & door / rear side panel inserts.

Legendary does offer Charcoal as an option for Gran Coupe interiors, code 154.  it does appear to be different that black, code 100.  of the pictures i have seen of A8 interiors, they do ahve a drak grey look to them, as opposed to black.  i think black could only be had with the cloth houndstooth insert interior. just a guess

I've yet to ever see a bench seat Gran Coupe. I'm sure they made them as the brochure says. Must be a rare combo.

Take a closer look in the top box on that page where the bench seat is shown. No mention of the Gran Coupe.

Part of what makes them so Gran. They weren't A93's, so not exactly coupes either.
