Hey Guys. I noticed the 70 71 Challenger has a darker argent tail panel. Not as dark as the center caps.
I have not come across any dark argent texture paint . Don't need it.
There is a dark argent grey texture paint for the shaker bubble.
Wonder if that would work....... If u call Eastwood or year one they are very helpful.
Totally auto inc We have a local auto paint supply store and they carry a lot of aerosol paints. My tail panel looks a lot better that the pictures . It is also correct for the 70 center caps.

If I were painting the tail center panel regardless if it was Argent or Organosol, I wouldn't go with rattle cans.
Rattle cans don't have durable chemical properties over the long term. Period!

The paint won't last as long using rattle cans. The reason is that these cars with dual exhaust put out alot of corrosive, partially unburned gases. As you drive, exhaust recirculates up onto the tail panel.

You need a real durable paint to withstand it over the long term.

I recall stripping my Gran coupe argent. It was very thick, durable hard paint.
I can't imagine rattle can paint sparkles as well either as doing it right either.

I want it to stay and shine so I will be spraying gunning on a thick coats , I am sure when the time comes to do it Eastwood will have the product I need, I may be able to get it locally at the shop I was in. Cody might be able to get me a discount through Arc . I need to hear a little more about it and check costs, but I want to do it right for sure thanxs for the guidance.

Moparnut      Stay healthy, I'm in my 70's , Get out there even if it is just a 1/2 hr or 1 hour to keep the project going.  Four years ago my AAR needed a fresh paint and engine clean up took seven months..

2 members in the poll say theirs is a 383 4 speed. Those have gotta be rare. Never seen one like that. Only a few have I see that were convertibles over the years. One I had a chance to buy a long time ago.

At your timetable I got about 5 more years to go and I should be done then Sounds about right. It took me 2 years driving it around with the 318 before I even started turning wrenches.

SWEET  :picture:

LV the B5 and B7 colors. Looks good with the steel wheels painted to match! What color interior will it be with the B5?  The Gran Coupe poll shows total of 26 on C.C. club at top of this thread. My convertible is 1of 66 with the N0B 383 4bbl w/HD 727. I have been reading a lot of the posts on here and Dodge and Plymouth painted a lot of Burnt orange Se and GCoups.

its suprising there are only 26 registered here. GC are a rarity is the own right!!
I bet they are far rarer than any other model since they were only built 2 years and most were cloned into Cudas
How many do you all think are left???
