That is a sweet ride, and a worthy application of the Gran Coupe name, IMHO.  since the concept car was unveiled, i have had to add "-BMW" to my "Gran Coupe" searches on ebay, and the internet, just so i don't get all the hits from the Bimmer!!

GC owner for 22 years. New here to this forum, posted in Newb section under my username: FLYGFSH, check it out, several photos.

My car is a 1970, orig 383/4bbl, 2 fender tag car. Options include: PB, PS, AC, power window, cruise, dual polished mirrors, overhead consel, black/white houndstooth interior, 3 speaker dash, luggage rack, textured rear window molding, etc.

You can add me to the list. I have a 70 GC that originally came with a 318/auto. The car was restored in the late 80's and the 318 was tossed in favor of a 440 which I will be keeping in there. I am in the process of trying to get it all put back together right now.

post a few pics, we like to see GC's, in any shape, condition, or in process!  mine was a 318 too, and i bought it with a 440 already installed, but not rebuilt.  so i just kept it that way, and restored it like it came that way from the factory.  i added the hockey stick stripes, and a spoiler, but kept all the GC emblems, and argent tail panel.

I bought a new GC Barracuda in 1970 from Poinsatte Chrysler Plymouth in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was pale yellow in color with a black vinyl top, gold upholstery and a 318 auto.  I put a 340 4 V, a 727 and an 8 3/4 diff in it back in the day then painted it black.

We GC owners have something to brag about.  The very first hemi powered Barracuda (car # 003) was a white BP23 1970 Gran Coupe sold by the same dealer I bought my GC from.  I have seen the car as it is now at the National Automotive and Truck Museum in Auburn, Indiana.  According to this article http://www.angelfire.com/id/newssection/1hemi.html the car was "reconfigured and tagged as a BS23 when reassembled.

The current owner is a barber in Fort Wayne who was told the car was torn apart and reassembled by Chrysler so a time/rate manual could be made for the hemi cudas.  Supposedly it was not to be sold due to its unusual beginning but it was.

turbo.  you should check out GranCuda's project!  I tried to find the link here on C-C, but couldn't maybe he could post it for you to check out!  He is doing a 440 4-spd GC.  It is gonna be sweet!

Nice Car and white too!! Looks like you had the engine compartment treatment also. It must have been a fad in the 70;s 80;s. She looks pretty darn straight. Does she have the the 4 button leather GC seats or the two buckle GC seats? Is the tail panel still argent?
