Trans. rebuild
« on: December 12, 2008 - 07:41:12 PM »
Well, the 727 in my Cuda is "tired" to say the least. I'm planning on an overhaul in the near future. It's stock now as far as I know. No shift kit or anything like that. I'd like to build it to handle 550 to 600 HP to accommodate future engine mods. I want very firm shifts, but I want to keep a forward shift pattern. What would I need to do, and what parts would I need to accomplish my goals here? Oh yeah, this is a 99.9% street driven car.

Thanks tactransman. A lot of good info. in that thread. What about the front pump? Should it be replaced?

727 pumps don't go bad too often,it is probably fine.
