Rick Ehrenberg in Mopar Action made fun of my car when I ask if my car was a survivor....  :bricks1:   I'll scan it if I get a chance.

Hey that's not fair!

It's still here after 36 years. It survived! :icon16:

i've been trying to get my dad's duster in something to surprise him, but to no avail... was figuring that it being featured in a movie would be worth something.. but guess not... oh well... it's not like we do the cars for articles or trophies anyhow..

That's the seat that came with the Japanese made 1/24 scale ARII model kit.  I know, looks like a high chair.  :screwy:  The interior and the engine have a lot to be desired.  The model itself is a wee bit larger than the standard US made Challenger models so kit bashing might look even more goofy but this one was the kit I liked best.

Surprisingly, over 30 years ago, I built the same style kit (but made by Otaki which became ARII) with my brother.  It was Plum Crazy Purple with flames.  I still have that car on display now with my other models.  Here's a pic of a box of the model kit like the one I have.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

I've been in Hot Rod, Mopar Muscle, Muscle Car Review and Muscle Car Motion, and a few others.  The most recent is MCG with their Power Tour coverage.

Bottom left corner is me checking out a 72 RR in a barn in Coon Valley Wisconsin that belongs to Mega-Parts.

Not a magazine article but my Challenger was used to advertise the Playstation game "Driver2" in magazines all around the world with airbrushed alterations to the grille and rear lights to change its appearence slightly because of copywrite issues. It's computerised image and sound was also used in one section of the game.

If I finally get my car on the road next year it is going to be photographed for a feature in a UK magazine. But there is no way to know if they will actually use it. I will have to wait and see. I will be just happy to have it back on the street. :grinyes:

Roppa, are you sure about the Driver2 game? It wasn't Driver - Parallell Lines?
I do remember first time I saw an advertizing for that game, me and my buddy Kjell Egil hung around a Saturday in Feb 2006 in a shopping mall in - say - Newcastle, UK  ;D   Weird, met you and your car just a few hours before.

My car was featured in a mag over here January 2007. The same magazine made an article in 2001 with my previous 68 Satellite (also shown in pics below)

I didn't even know that game existed let alone have a (sort of) rendering of my Challenger on its cover. ???

These are the ones I knew about.

I had an AAR that I restored back in 2005  It was featured under the Trans Am AAR tent at Carlisle.  I sold that car to a guy in California.  The car was shot and featured in Hemming's Muscle Car Review and was nominated for car of the year this past year.

Hey super blue 72. post a pic of it. have seen a lot of guys with 24 scale replicas of their cars. many are so accurate they look like you could get in them and drive off. some look better than the actual car.   yours looks pretty accurate.

has anyone done a thread on that ?  -  your car with your model replica.
