Along with my leaf spring post a realted question

How much could you bring the front end down by backing off the torsion bars without effecting tire wear....?  :working:

see how you can see more meat in the front tires? even though the fronts are 14 and 15 in the back, it makes it look like it sags a little....  :dunno:

Measured at the wheel lip, you could drop about 1/2 an inch, maybe up to 3/4, without impacting tire wear significantly. Beyond that you'd want to have the camber checked.

When we added the leaf to the rear of mine we dropped the front about 1/2" as well just by turning the torsion bars, pretty easy to do.

You can lower the front quite a bit with the stock bars, but the problem is that as you lower it you have to readjust the camber/caster/ and toe. If you go too low, you'll run out of the stock suspension's adjustability and won't be able to correct it completely. A half inch should be no problem. If you want to really lower it, you might want to invest in some tubular UCA's, most of which have a better out of the box setting for modern tires and are adjustable to boot, to keep the alignment specs in order.

I believe there is offset ball joints available that are cheaper than new arms but do the same job.

There are no offset ball joints. Moog does make a Problem Solver offset upper control arm bushing set to address the problems with limited adjustability in the Mopars.

Thanks. I knew some type of offset part was available.
