Very interested to know what color it was if you can find the details.  Do you remember who got the car ?  Would be good to chase it up, you never know. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I could very easily follow up with the guy I sold it too. I know where he lives. He used to be the president of our now defunct Tri State Mopar Club. He supposedly was going to sell it to a family member in PA. I made him promise to let me see it when it was finished. The last time I saw him about a year ago he said the guy was just about finishing it up. The guy I sold it to, his neighbor is someone of extreme interest. This is a guy who currently owns a 71 383 Cuda, two trim tag car, curious yellow with every good option imaginable, but ordered with a column shift. Go figure. I was trying to get this car before I bought my current one. It was a rolling body in primer last time I saw it. All of the parts were in his basement. Oh yeah, it is a shaker car too.

The other reason he is someone of extreme interest is he seems to know where every rare mopar in a five state area is. From spending some time with him and being a good judge of character, I know he's not bs'ing. I followed up on two of the cars he told us about and it was true. One of them being a crazy story in of itself that I'm not sure if I ever told on here. It involved a purple 71 383 cuda being temporarily left behind in a garage of a home that was being sold. The realtor gave us the number to the lock box on the door over the phone and we basically had run of the property. We went out back to the seperate garage and lo and behold, there sat a purple 71 Cuda and the garage was unlocked. We walked right in. We took a bunch of pictures of it and tried in vain to get in touch with the owner through the realtor. She said she would pass on our info to the owner, but he never contacted us. I even befriended his neighbor to call me when he saw the car being loaded up to leave. We checked on it again and it was gone. The neighbor said he moved while he was at work, but that the guy moved in the town where I live. I have yet to track that one down. If we were the dishonest type, we could have easily stripped that car for profit or stolen the whole car outright. Crazy what some people do. I would never leave a car like that alone by itself.
