My old e bods
« on: December 14, 2008 - 08:17:30 PM »
Here's pics of the ones I let go. The yellow car was a BH Barracuda. I forget what motor came with it originally. It had the 440 in it when I bought it.
The other one is my rare 71 383 Grand Coupe that I stupidly sold. Blue on blue car, one of 79 made. DOH!

Here's the gc.
What a shame it is gone,  any chance you have pictures of the front seats aswell please.  It is real hard finding any reference pictures for a 71 Gran Coupe interior as they had a unique stitch pattern shared by no ither year or model for the 71 GC's. :2thumbs:

Sorry I don't have anything better. You can just see the pattern on the upper part of this pic. They are basically the same as the rear seat pattern if you can see those well.

Thanks heaps for sharing that.  This is the 7th Gran Coupe trim i have seen in Blue, but it is only the second time i have seen Blue Gran Coupe trim for a 71, very rare interior color for a Gran Coupe, most were Black :2thumbs: thanks again.

No problem. How do you like that blue shag headliner, lol? This was also an overhead console car with rear heater and a/c. They might have all come with those features though. You probably know.

 Yea i know what they had, the shag pile is a new one though :roflsmiley: factory head liner was Blue in a B5 interior GC but was a more like furry textured sponge backed material from new.

That would have made a nice car...................................

Wow, is that B7 blue?  VERY rare for a '71, only 200-something in that color that year.

Hey Chuck, power windows were not standard in Gran Coupes buddy, it was an option. :2thumbs:

I believe Bearcuda said it was a B5 on B5 Gran Coupe. :bananasmi

I can't recall which blue the exterior was, there were three blues available I believe. I do remember the interior being B5. I still have a copy of the data plate somewhere around here. I'll try and find it to see what the exterior was. You wouldn't believe how little I let that car go for in 2003. It's embarrassing.

Very interested to know what color it was if you can find the details.  Do you remember who got the car ?  Would be good to chase it up, you never know. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
