Opinions on P.P.R. '71 'Cuda grille?
« on: December 15, 2008 - 09:01:35 PM »
Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Premier Plastic Reproductions grilles? A new member, Lilian, from France is looking for a '71 'Cuda grille for her project. I found that P.P.R. is advertising them in MOPAR ACTION and wrote to her about it, but I've not had any dealings with the company myself. Anyone out there have the straight skinny?

Thanks,

Don

I never heard of them so i did a search on Google.  I recommend you do the same. Make up your opinion after reading links from people's personal experiences.   I didn't like what I found.

It may even be a good idea to contact the company direct by telephone and find out their address and ask if a member here lives close by and see if they can inspect or even pick up the grille and forward it on to you.  May be a better solution :2thumbs:

Thanks guys,

That sounds like good advice. I thought it would be kind of cool to lend Lilian a hand since she's across the pond. It's probably easier for us to check stuff out from here than it is from France.

Wow, interesting... After chasing down some feedback-of which there is no shortage, I would have to agree that things don't sound so good. Perhaps a last resort for someone who has a lot of patience. It would be pretty funny to see what E-Berg at M.A. would have to say in print if he tried to get some parts from them and ran into some of the stuff these other customers have. Too bad that sometimes those who have the smarts to build something cool are lacking in other areas-like ethics. Thanks kingtroll and hemiken.

I hear they're made of ABS and will warp really badly in the sun.

Not sure if this ever happened, but something to be aware of.

That wouldn't be to cool to park it in Death Valley and come back to a giant pretzel stuck in your fish's mouth! Love the avatar! I need more cow bell!

they are in Texas now north of dallas, they have a very friendly phone contact till they charged your credit card, then you are no more able to get in touch with them !!
