Hey guys, I need some advice here. A guy I know has a '70 Coronet 500 in his junkyard. It's kinda parted out. He needs to sell off a few of his cars and he said if I put up some ads on the internet for him (he's not computer savy), I can have the Coronet for free because he knows I've been eyeballing it for the past year or so. Whenever I want it, I can come get it. The problem is....it's 12 hours away. I have access to a car trailer so renting one isn't needed.
As you can see, it's missing a lot of stuff but he has a bunch of parts he'll include in with the car. That includes a mint hood, front bumper, rear bumper, tailight panel, tailights, emblems, some trim and other stuff. You can't see in the picture but the front frame rails, inner fenders, rad support, front valance and driver's fender ARE there.
If I got it, I'd basically put it away for a later date and that's it. I wouldn't be restoring it or anything right off the bat.
What do you guys think I should do? I've had a few guys say don't take it but I don't know......
