funny story from today

Funny story from today...

I was at the gas station filling up my 70 challenger.  When i went in to pay their was a boy about 15 or so and an older guy in line in front of me.  The boy paid for whatever he had and turned to walk out of the store.  When he got to the door he turned to us and said "Is that your car outside?... Thats got to be the coolest looking Mustang I've ever seen."  I smiled and just said thanks.  After the boy left the gentleman in front of said, "stupid kids these days, they race around in their rice burners and when they pull up to a real car they dont even know what it is!"  Then he look dead at me and asked, "Who on this earth cant tell the difference between a Mustang and a Charger?"  Thats right, he said CHARGER!

Here is a pic of my Charger, Its just like the black and gold SE Steve McQueen drove in Smokey and the Bandit... without the t tops of course

That's funny. Not to steal the thread, but on the other end of the stick this story is pretty cute. Back in September after I had gotten my Charger, I was at my wife's work helping her with some stuff. The Charger was out front. Her former boss who still owns the property next door came in and said a little kid was sitting there on his bike by the Charger just staring at it. He asked him what he was doing and the kid said that was his favorite car in the whOOoole world. He told him the guy who owns it was just inside if he wanted to talk to me. The kid goes "Naw, I'm just gonna sit here and stare at it for awhile." Nice to have an influence on the young crowd.

i would say 90% of the people that comment on my challenger, call it a charger..
and i am constantly hearing how much people like my nova (or sometimes falcon) even though its a 69 dart

I have had several people at different car shows come by and check out our chally and say I used to have a charger just like that, but it had a hemi. wished i would have kept that car.
