Congrats and Good luck.  I wish you well and good fortune in your new adventure.  I understand what you are talking about.  Things are alot different now than when I started.  Never thought I would be teaching these trucks either.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Great Job Mike!
Did you still want those mufflers I got?

Not sure with your move if you still planned on going side exhaust.

Seems to be pretty well starting out. Average for the guys out of the school is in about 4-5 years being up to Shop Foreman status. Which at a BMW retailer, is pretty well paying to say the least (especially for 25-26year olds)

Mike, I almost bought you an 18x16 book on BMW today.   Said like history of the bmw.  But I figured it would be boring info to you since you prob already know about them and the history. It was at a flea market.  I ended up buying a 65 - 72 chilton manual. Everything there was 10 bucks.  He had about 1000 mechanic books there :2thumbs:

Congrats!!

But why are they up to shop foreman status so quickly, is it because the more experienced techs are leaving?
