Best way to prep these turn signal housings?

What has worked for You guys?

Prep, and then finish too.

you should be able to use steel wool , then paint chrome inside for the reflector surface & a light gold on the outside

Steel wool, I have some of that out in the garage!LOL

I will try that, I believe I may have some chrome paint as well.

How to keep them looking good?  Clear paint or just leave them?

Yes, Lights, receptacles, and ceiling fans too.  I got my hands full on this one.LOL

supposed the be for my daughter.  We got a smoking deal on it, it came with all kinds of furniture too.  I just need to finish it.

as I said use a light coat of dull gold to imitate the zinc factory coating , the paint will seal it up
