Hey Spaz,
Great car!! Looks like a real labor of love. Nice color and especially the AAR stripes. I am partial to the "notchback" Cuda's and have a '68 notchback with a 360. That thing sounds wicked awesome. You've done a great job. Welcome to the site and thanks for sharing!! :2thumbs:

Thanks,
You are right, it has been a labor of love, but mostly a love/hate relationship.

Seems that every time I get ahead one step, I get knocked two steps back which is mostly the reason it's take eight years to get to this point and I still have some bugs to work out.

I am still looking for an E-body which is what I've always wanted, but I fell in love with the A-body Barracuda's as well so I decided to build one with "borrowed" stylings from my favorite E-body the AAR 'cuda.

My dad had a 70 T/A Challenger that he sold when I was in fourth grade so I have always wanted something similar.

I have a quick "One that got away" story.

When I was a freshly married 19 y/o I had the chance to buy a 72 'cuda that had a 340/auto and a complete extra interior including seats for the pice of $1500 back in 1990.
The owner was going to jail for a while he said so the car had to go.
I could only scrape together $1100 and he would not budge even though I offered cash.
The car was gun metal gray and i remembered seeing it zipping around town for years by this guy and I always wanted that car, but I guess I missed my shot.
I often wonder what this car would be worth today, but I know the round taillight 'cuda's are not as desirable by some, but I kinda like them just as well as the 70-71's.

Any north georgia guys want to get together for weekend Mopar cruising look me up as i have quite a few buddies with Mopar that I can drag out for a Saturday or Sunday.

Since I've introduced myself I guess I can scare afew of you away with my ugly mug shot that only a Mother or and Undertsanding Wife could love.

My 1st Mopar was a 72 Cuda but I did some crazy stuff to it.  Replaced the front with a 71 grill and modern lights plus glued fur to the interior.  Was nice and warm for the winter months.

I had the car from 1982-85 and don't remember alot about details as most projects I worked on were rushed & poorly done.
I can remember cutting and gluing with some rivets used.  It was never how I wanted it and the beams never lined up correctly.
When I met cars at night lots of times they would flash their high beams thinking mine were on high.
It looked not bad from a distance but made life more difficult as a car used as a daily driver.
If I still had it today I'd put it back to original.

Some updated pics.

This video was taken a while ago before I installed the glass, tweaked the carb and did a valve lash adjustement.
It sounds much better now.

It sure ticks off the mustangs when I go by.

Sorry for the GM alternator, but it was cheap and available.
