I am in New York the stuff they put down here is extreme , melts ice and snow but eats metal real fast thats why I have a winter driver and a summer driver.........
btw in N.Y. 12 hours before the storm the DOT crews spray the main roads with a liquid that dries on the pavement then as the snow gets plowed they spread rock salt with a liquid that is added as it comes off the spreader, I heard it is either calcium cloride or magnisium cloride
