For anyone that missed the original Hippo / Penguin War on Moparts, I feel bad for you. It was hillarious.  :roflsmiley:

No one was safe.  :22yikes:

I used to be there a ton when I first got my charger.  Pretty much I was on the A-12 board a lot cause it was a restoration section and figured that since the A-12 cars and chargers were both B bodys and that they basically had a lot of the same general stuff like suspension, brake, rear, trans, etc.  Yet if I posted a restoration question that pertained to something that is on an A-12 car and my charger, because it was for my charger, it got deleted since I did not own an A-12 car.  Since then, they ignored my request to start a general restoration section yet I see that they have now combined restoration and A12 section.  Granted, they do have some good info but it does get out of hand fast in the sites.  When they told me to post my "generic" question for restoration, it got burried in like 4 seconds flat back to page 6 or something.

Since then, Troy got Dodgecharger.com back up and running and I have spent a majority of my time there and since we got the chally vert, a lot of time has been on here also.  Both DC.com and here have been a tremendous help to me and my father in getting our cars to the level that they are.

I used to go there all the time. Now, not so much.  I pop in there from time to time to read some threadas and look at the for sale sections but that's about it.   I hardly ever post there.   Nowadays, I find myself here and on FABO.com more often than anywhere else.  I think what really got me glued to this site versus Moparts was the Cuda Guy Project.  I think the whole attitude here is so much better that it feels more like a family rather than a clique.  I think most people here are less judgemental and way less mean-spirited.

I'm quite sure I have an account there, but honestly I haven't been there in such a long time I really can't remember which screen name it was and which password I would have used back then (probably was around 15-16 at the time).  I use this site as a good way to get away from the constant heckling that occurs at the other forum I'm usually on.  It's usually so bad there that the Newbies have their own section where they are not to be harassed in any way by the long-time members or they'll suspend/ban the heckler.  Granted, it's an international site with TONS of members, so it's expected that you'll have several members who feel the need to be e-thugs and Internet "experts" who live for the opportunity to prove others wrong about their cars or personal decisions.  The same goes for MoParts and their extensive list of members.

I have been a member on Moparts for over 12yrs... crap, that's a long time  :scared:
There have been many members come and go and some of the best knowledgeable Mopar people around left because of the threads and rules you all have mentioned about, but Tom owns the site and he makes the rules. With over 20,000 members it could and will get hostile very quickly. I do not post much anymore, I guess it was because of my health more so than not.
You all have an issue or two that you mention, but I have a one that has bothered me for a long time, I am tired of reading, replying, or posting in a thread about a car's ability and performance from back in the sixties and have a certain group or person reply that I am wrong because he read it in a book. Please, I was there and in that car daily, it may have been my buddies or a family members car and this guy tells me I am wrong......... :blah: :blah: :blah:
That is like reading porn books all day long and never had a girlfriend, all you can relate to is chokeing the chicken and not the real thing....... sorry that is my rant....... I will go back to lurking now......  :bigshades:

That's us.....Lazy. Might as well add dumb, fat, ignorant.

This is the attitude we're talking about. Did not expect it from you though, Kiss.

I've read many helpful posts from you on a few different boards.

I do stand corrected on the fleebay/mofarts thing. I haven't been there in a while, so my rusty memory glands were off.

Steve

Attitude? Nobody said anything about dumb, fat or stupid except you. So now you say that I am calling YOU names? I just told you that the person was too lazy to read the rules about where to post things and that their post was deleted because of this. It IS possible to forget, with all the different forums available, but usually this happens with new members who do not read the rules. If you are a long time member they tend to cut you more slack I believe.

Wanna see some moparts wide range of comments?  Just make a post in the general over to this post.  Now what do you think will happen if they read this post?  There will be lots of remarks. Some very funny, some very  :swear:   But there will be a wide variety of choices.

It's all good guys.
