    I just come here and not too many other places for sure.  We all can learn more about our cars and need to keep that in mind while we are here.  There is a lot of knowledge here and we all should treasure that for sure.

    I used to frequent a few other boards. They had a few guys with Mopes but mostly GM and Ford. I don't feel like getting into pissing matches with guys that probably have gone half as quick as I have so I'll pass on Moparts. I just try to help out here with short to the point advice that I know is right and skip the 4 paragraph dissertations, much like CP does just because I love E bodies and have had a bunch of them over the years and want to help out others.  :2thumbs:

    Any group of people is going to have a percentage of flakes, and with tens of thousands of members, Moparts has a lot of them!
    That being said, there is a lot of great people there and I have met some good friends on that board, and learned alot.  If I have a problem with my car or truck, I can post a question and usually get an answer and good advice from an expert in a matter of minutes.  And some of the biggies in the hobby are regulars there to give restoration advice, like Dave Walden, Resto Rick, Bill Rolik, Steve Juliano and more.
    For posters you don't like, there is an "ignore this user" button you can click to make them go away. 
    I have no idea about the fascination with penguins and fluff, and have watched a few posters I liked get banned for one reason or another, or interesting posts getted locked or deleted for no good reason I can see, but I guess you have to take the good with the bad.......

    LOL we are only guilty of being ignorant, not dumb. I do however confess to being fat and lazy  :roflsmiley:

    I dont spend much time at moparts so I do admit I did not read their rules. In fact I did not read the rules for this site either, just learned them by the seat of the old pants. Since I am not selling a car or parts it does not matter to me anyway, just making an observation. For the record, I did not say Moparts sux, or do I even call it mofarts like some. It just always seems so stupid the little insignificant things that people choose to argue and get all worked up about. This was a tongue in cheek type post on the basis of one thread about a guy getting flamed for wanting to document and detail a survivor car for show judging instead of a total restoration, not a flame on moparts the site. I find Moparts to be of value in that it is a bigger site and there are much more parts and cars listed for sale. I really do not browse too many threads and I dont think I have over 5 replies since I signed up over there.

    I check out moparts all the time, mostly for the race section and they sometimes have cool stuff in the classifieds. I don't post or reply to much there though. Don't want to get lit up for not having correct date coded u-joint strap bolts on my car.

    They would fry me in oil then because I get rid of the straps everytime I get a chance. My 2.94 sure grip I have in the Chally right now is set up with U-bolts like ford used. I love the u-bolts, they are easy to deal with and are 3 times as strong as the wimpy Chrysler straps.

    If you can ignore the bull, you'll usually get a helpful answer pretty quick.  Just by the shear numbers, there's a lot of experience there.
