couple of pics of my brother in laws cars.
« on: December 26, 2008 - 06:25:16 PM »
He has a 70 Challenger and a 71 'Cuda. Both have been off the road since either 85 or 89-90. He is starting to gather parts to work on the 71 'Cuda just recently. My sis slid around a rainy corner and nailed a trash dumpster with the passenger fender. He has been looking forever for a 71 fender and finally bought a repop when they first came out. They are both in pretty good shape. I know you guys never get tired of seeing pics of different projects and cars. The 70 Challenger still has a funky 70's paint job.

Looks a little dusty. Thanks for sharing the pics. Glad to see the cars have been stored in a nice dry garage instead of rotting in a field somewhere!!

It is good to see them in storage for sure.   We never get tired of pictures for sure.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Well he bought this fender back when they first came out and it still sits in his spare bedroom. He is not in any hurry lol. I think that as my car gets closer to being done it will spur him on to start getting his back on the road. His 'Cuda is in a funny place though. Its probably a little rough to just drive as is and its almost too nice to tear down for a full boogie resto. Here is the sun visor out of the 'Cuda. He got Big Daddy to sign it back at some car show back in 97.

Is the Challenger too far "gone" to save the paint job? Those 70's custom jobs usually draw huge crowds at the shows. Imagine what a shop would charge for that today?

Clown, yes, it is an N code SE. Quap, its not too bad but it was a simple scuff and paint so in several places the FE5 is showing through.
