Rock your E-body?
« on: December 27, 2008 - 09:03:25 PM »
Is there already a thread with pics & stories of the word "Rock" scrawled on the inner wheelhouses of 70 E-bodies? If not, I'll start one! Found some pics from way back.

I don't have a "Rock" car, but Stella signed the back of the glove box in my 71 Cuda.

I heard MCG had an article about this, but don't know for sure since I let my subscription lapse (At least until Rob Wolf cuts his mullet and stumbles into the 21st century.)

Here ya go.....  Didn't want to be redundant if it had been done before. I wonder if Stella and Rock had a thing........

This isnt that uncommon. when i was with ford we all marked our work . i would sign each car and on milestone cars a number would be added . some guys would bring rolls of pennies to work and each car got one in the tank . the best one was a light line tech would leave bubble gum in his cars so when they came back for warranty work he had some thing to look forward to . when i went into business for myself each restoration got a shop card cleared in some where and my engines are marked ,the funny thing is i found a big rod engine in a salvage yard a few years ago that was freeze cracked and low and behold my sig was on it 20 plus years later  .c

Rock, must have convinced his fellow line worker to sign the passenger side! To the best of my knowledge,(there was a long thread on Moparts years ago),Rock worked at the Hamtramck plant and only on E-bodies.
