Correct Visors for a '72 Challenger???
« on: December 27, 2008 - 10:29:28 PM »
Okay, I am unsure what the correct visors for a '72 Challenger are supposed to look like.  These were in the car when I got it...

but they do not have the tips that connect to the rearview mirror and my mirror has the slots for them.

Are these the correct ones???  :dunno:

Thanks for your help!

Jeff

Thats the right mirror. When I bought my Cuda it had the correct visors with an incorrect mirror that had the notches on the side for the larger visors. :2thumbs:

I can tell you that my 72 Challenger had sunvisors like the black ones you have pictured, but also had a rearview mirror (from the factory) with the notches for the sunvisor tips.

You might have hit on something as mine was that way when I bought it. Perhap the factory ran out of correct mirrors and used what they had? :dunno: :clueless:

Also mine is a very early model 72. Wonder if that has something to do with it?

That could be it!! you might have gotten a 1971 mirror! My 71 has tips on the visors and also slots in the mirror for the tips! BUT my 73 has the mirror like you posted and NO tips for the visors!! sounds like you have a mirror for a 70-71 model !!! (and I am the second owner of the 73, the first guy didn't touch it at all it was totally untouched when I got it!! WOW was that a find!!)

I'm pretty sure both my 71 and 73 have the visors with tips and the appropriate mirror. Not 100% on that for sure. Gotta get out and look at them for sure.

My '72 has visors like the black one with no tips.  Not sure about the mirror though.
