Another term for threaded rod - you can even buy lengths at Home Depot

ok, anyone know how the rods are made to lift the hood up off the car for display?

Buy tubing and cut to length?? Does someone make them ready for sale?

not sure, but i am just trying to figure out if it is just PCV tube with a hood pin in one end and a hole for the pin in the bottom or what?

Aluminum would be good too - a little more $$$ but you could polish, brush or paint, and would be more stable than plastic.
