Adj. pinion snubber.

Didn't know where to stick this., Go Fast goodies, Suspension, Drivetrain ?

With an adj. pinion snubber, how much room between the rubber bumper and the tunnel do you need. I would imagine I will be experimenting with it but were should I start out. I was thinking about three inches?

This is where mine ended up after trimming it to fit.

In competition racing that pic is good, but driving around on the roads it would be a bumpy ride around here. I go around 2.5 inches or so. That way, When I dump the clutch it will do it's job when needed

I haven't noticed any banging around but then again I drive a SB Auto car.LOL :2thumbs:  I have MP XHD Springs and a clamp on the forward segment and KYB Shocks in the rear.  I think the stock one was about 2.5" from the floor pan.

Yep, Al is correct , if you have a soft rear suspension it will bang the floor when you hit a bump. But that said if you have a 4spd keep it close to the floor as possible. maybe 1" would be good...

Yea, my street car did a 1.50 at the track. It got bumpy on the street, so I went with ladder bars and that took care of it. I also went a 1.31 then but I used a trasbrake.

If you go more than 1/2-3/4 of an inch, you are defeating the purpose of the snubber for traction purposes which is to keep the axle from "twisting" up. (just like traction bars)

If you take corners hard on the street they can bottom out & make the car handle funny when you least want it too.

Adjust it up for racing & down before you drive home.  :2cents:

If anyone wants to buy one that was used for a short time, $25.00 shipped inside the US. Email if interested.
