    Its a must with EFI if that matters I know you are not running efi  :rofl:

    they were both track cars only.... kinda weird if ya ask me......  :dunno:

    Funny how i was just under the car about an hour ago looking at it and i cant remember what if it looked like yours stroker. I will take picures and post them up of the tank tomorrow morning. So for the pump i should be fine mounting it to the frame rail even though its about at the top of the tank? It will be level with the fittins to the sending unit.

    I had a new tank and I welded a fitting on the tank for the return. Use a 1/2 p/u tube too. You don't want drink a keg with a straw. 1/2" p/u's werent stock I believe but you can get one from Mancini's or the like.

    Before you install the new 1/2" pickup, snip off the vent tube and drill a hole, get a threaded nipple fitting and a nut, whalla! Or weld it on there. Easy day!

    thx go fish..... im probably gonna sell the sending unit / filter / pump to the aeroquip regulator real soon.....  :working:

    It will be a nice bolt on setup for someone...........  :working:

    was looking through mancini and found a 1/2 fuel pick up with a 1/4 return. Would 1/4 be okay to use or would i need something bigger? Also when looking at my gas tank and where the tube is all thats there is the line and the electrical conector so there is no vent tube on it.

    Stroker has what I have - that is a return line back to the fitting on the sender. I have a 3/8" line to the pump (not sure of Stroker's -1/2"??) and the return is the 73 style 1/4" vapor line made into a positive/continuous return back to the tank with a small restrictor near the carb fuel rail. Keeps cool fuel near the float bowls all the time. I have too much rubber line on mine for drag racing but will change it out to braided eventually.
    The flashlight on the right hand side of the carb fuel rail is sitting on the fitting that has the 8-32 restrictor nut sitting in it. Fuel pressure stays at 5 PSI even while getting the engine up to a steady 3000RPM. I will be protecting the rubber at the tank from the exhaust heat.
