      Are you guys up to speed on what you are paying in federal and state taxes for gasoline. consider this your civic duty.  find out and post it.
    Federal is 18 1/2 cents per gallon /  Kentucky  just went to 22 cents on top of that.

     not sure if that is a set amount per gallon or if its a % of the laid in cost. maybe you guys can answer that one.

    New Mexico is similar but I dont know the exact amount. It is a set tax as far as I know.

      so everytime i pump a gallon of gas in Ky , for now at least , 33% + is tax.   now look at your cell phone bill.

    Heard on the radio this AM that the Daley-Blowjobovich toadies running the state are preparing to raise the state sales tax another 8 cents per gallon ASAP.  This to 'pay for the roads and road repairs'.  Of course the last gas tax increase was supposed to do that.  Also the toll increases on the tollway.  Also the massive fee increases around 1999-2000 (Illinois First program).  Thats on top of crook county's very high tax, and the poor sots who live in daleyville itself who get hammered even more.

    The typical person perceives that they are paying 1.49 rather than 1.50....Same way most higher priced products are marketed...a refrigerator is $999......a car is 29,999. 
      Another words you & I are to stupid to know the difference.  ;)
