ReSpring Leaf Springs?
« on: December 30, 2008 - 02:03:51 AM »
Hey guys,

Best I can tell, I need an inch (1") of lift to get the desired heigth on my Challenger with the stock 4 leaf springs.  To achieve the correct heigth I am looking for, should I:  a. shop around for the best deal (how could this result in getting the heigth/stance I am looking for)?   b. have my local spring shop make a new set after they get all the measurments they need?   c. have my local spring shop "respring" the existing leaf springs, (but wouldn't they just revert back to their present lift in short order)?

Thanks, Charlie

what I have done that works well is to add 1 extra full length leaf under the main leaf , with it arced properly it willdo exactly what you want& stiffen the ride , the next option would be to have them re-arc your existing spring

My father-in-law had a local shop build a set based on the exact height that he wanted.  It worked out great, and cost less than a new set of MP springs would have cost.
