Hmmmm    I hadn't seen door trim like this before  (see new member Brian - his Cuda at  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=52993.0

Were these available on challengers and Cuda's     Which years?   I'd like to hear more about these..... does anyone have any literature or other info?

Hi Vermont,

What his car has got are extremely rare Red door inserts that were available for 1970 and 'Cuda option when a car was fitted with leather trim and some Gran Coupes that had salt and pepper interior.  I am not sure about 71's having them.

Kenny,

Yes, 71's had them on the Gran Coupe. Mine had the wood grain inserts originally.  :2thumbs:
Happy New Year Kenny.

Hey TC, these are the Red inserts in question.  I know the Woodgrain was available on both 70 and 71 Gran Coupe, but we are talking Red inserts, they were available on certain color (Black) leather interior 'Cuda's, Salt & Pepper interior 'Cuda's and Salt & Pepper interior Gran Coupes.

And Happy New Year to you buddy :2thumbs:

Thanks Hemiken - Cuda's only - which explains why I hadn't noticed these before, as I have tunnel vision for details on Challengers - although I certainly enjoy the Cuda's too!   :)

A follow-up .....    I'm now more confused, as I happened across what looks like is a Challenger Red Trim door panel on ebay -- so they WERE available for Challengers?     :feedback:

No they were never available on a Challenger, it may be hand painted like what rusty has done to get a look, something you could experiment with. :dunno:
