StroKers How To: Messing Up your $900 TTI Headers

Dipstick tube had broken off the tab that mounts to the block to keep in place and the small hole had been spraying oil onto my pretty headers...  :pullinghair:

WHY ARE TTI HEADERS A JINX ON THIS SITE  :hyper:

cant really see when the headers are in the car though... Ill get a recoat someday now....  :working:

That stinks Jason. I guess it's pretty much baked in?? Have you tried anything to remove the stain like maybe some acetone or something??

Jason, do you have plug boot issues on 3-5-7 plug boots?   Looks close.  I know you like the bling look. Sorry it's not as blingy. I always use headman hustler race division headers with my indy stuff.  What size tubes are those

Sorry Stroker...I would call TTi tech support and ask for recommendations.  They were very helpful on solving my starter fit problem and nice folks.  I bet those can be cleaned up.  Let us know what you find out and good luck.  :grinyes:

Try some simple green and a dish washing scrub pad (the kind that have the soft sponge on one side and a rough top side).  If that does not work then you can wet sand the oil spots with 1000 grit sandpaper.  I have had similar oil leaks on my TTI headers and was able to clean them off using both of these methods.  I would start with the simple green and sponge method.

TTI said  citrus cleaner.    Funny Stroker...   as soon as I got mine...    They were dirty. Seems to be some sort of weird initiation.    Let me know what works good. i wuz gonna' have mine re-coated someday.  :dunno: :popcorn:
